Effie Fotaki studied Photography at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Design [T.E.I.] of Athens in Greece and holds an MA degree in Visual Culture from the University of Westminster in London, UK. She specialises in portrait and documentary photography and works extensively with the local community. She lives and works in London.

Some of her clients include Save the Children, the Museum of London and she has worked as a visiting tutor at the London College of Communication. In November 2006 she co-published the book 'Independent London Store Guide' a book on the best independent shops in London (www.independentlondon.com).
